Lamb is a type of meat that is higher in saturated fat.  Draining off any excess fat ensures that the overall recipe remains low in saturated fat.

You can select any vegetable oil.  Oils such as olive and rapeseed are good choices as they are high in mono and polyunsaturated fats that are proven by research to protect against the risk of heart disease.

You can bulk this recipe out by adding grated vegetables.  Grated carrots or courgettes are easy solutions to an easy dinner recipe idea.

This recipe is milk, dairy, egg and soy free.  For a gluten or wheat free recipe solution, use gluten-free noodles/pasta or service with rice, quinoa or mashed potatoes.

The cumin seeds add a lovely flavour and minimise the requirement for added salt.  Throw in fresh herbs if you have these handy.  Basil would particularly elevate this dish to the super delicious level.
